    Chief ExecutivE Officer

    Lee was elected Chief Executive Officer of Habitat for Missions in 2025 after serving as a member of the Board of Trustees for three years. He is a certified real estate broker and realtor and a co-founder of Sovereign Property Investments, LLC, a real estate investment business. Lee uses his real estate acumen to help HFM identify and purchase appropriate project properties.

    HFM Founder

    After 31 years as a missionary in Australia, Bill co-founded HFM in 2005 with his wife Daphne while they served as missionaries in residence at Indiana Wesleyan University. "As recruiters and mentors of future missionaries, we saw flipping houses as a way to assist them in their funding," he says. Bill now relishes the opportunity to provide financially through HFM for others who serve overseas.

  • Gary Crandall, Bronson, Michigan

    Co-Chief Financial officer

    Gary, who was seeking a means to use his skills in retirement to further the spread of the gospel, joined the HFM board in 2014 and has served as co-chief financial officer with his wife Kathy since 2015. A public school business manager for 41 years, Gary retired in 2015. He and Kathy serve at Lockwood Community Church as marriage mentors and members of the global missions team.

    Co-Chief Financial Officer

    While working on an HFM project, Kathy was impressed with the financial support HFM provides to missionaries. She joined the HFM board in 2014 and has served with her husband Gary as co-chief financial officer since 2015. A public school administrative assistant for more than 25 years, Kathy retired in 2015.  She serves with Gary as a marriage mentor and global missions team member at their church.

    CHAIRMAN

    "As a professional fundraiser, I know how difficult it is to raise funds, so I was eager to engage with this unique model for generating missionary support," Randy says. "I am blessed to lead a board whose members are committed to harmonizing their talents to serve God's kingdom." Randy is retired as executive director of Pine Rest Foundation and earlier was a psychologist for Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services.

  • Jordan Scott, CPAmccordsville, INdiana

    Vice charman

    Jordan joined the HFM board in 2020. "I am so excited to contribute to an organization that raises money for missions through real estate investments," he says. Jordan is the co-founder of Sovereign Property Investments, LLC, a real estate investment business and also is Lead Senior Financial Analyst at Indiana University Health. He and his wife serve on the worship team at Harvest Wesleyan Church in Greenfield, IN.

  • BOB HARRIS, HUNTLEY, ILLINOIS

    SECRETARY

    Bob joined the HFM board in 2007.  "I became involved with HFM because it creates a new revenue stream for missions support at a time when raising funds through the traditional donation channel is becoming increasingly difficult," he says. A public relations professional for more than 25 years, Bob retired in 2014. He serves as a deacon at the Marengo, IL campus of The Orchard Evangelical Free Church.

  • Craig Brink, Saugatuck, Michigan

    Trustee

    Craig is a real estate professional with more than three decades of experience in residential and commercial real estate brokerage and investment. He has participated in missions trips in the US, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica and Guatamala and also was a staff fundraiser for Missions India. “Serving on the HFM board allows me to use my experience in real estate and my love for Jesus to help spread the gospel," he says.

  • STEVE SMITH, SOUTH BEND, INDIANA

    Trustee

    A real estate professional since 2005, Steve is the owner and managing broker of Irish Realty in South Bend, IN. “God’s calling on my life is to be a steward of housing in the business world, and serving with HFM enables me to use my experience in all aspects of real estate to add value to HFM’s efforts,” he says.  Steve is active in numerous philanthropic and business organizations.

  • Ron Vanderveen, Holland, Michigan

    Trustee

    Ron is a partner in the law firm of Cunningham Dalman, PC. Ron’s practice spans 40 years in municipal, real estate, finance and church law. He is currently appointed as the City Attorney for Holland, Michigan. Ron chairs the finance committee and serves in middle school youth ministries at Central Wesleyan Church of Holland. “I am eager to use my legal and administrative skills to further HFM’s creative fund raising mission,” he says.

  • Bethany Willink, Holland, Michigan

    Trustee

    Bethany joined the HFM board in 2022.  “Growing up a pastor’s kid has instilled in me a true love for missions, and I’m so fortunate to be able to use my formal education and experience being a part of something as impactful as HFM,” she says. Bethany and her husband live in Holland, Michigan with their three sons.
