    HFM CO-Founder AND Executive Director

    After 31 years as a missionary in Australia, Bill co-founded HFM in 2005 with his wife Daphne while they served as missionaries in residence at Indiana Wesleyan University. "As recruiters and mentors of future missionaries, we saw flipping houses as a way to assist them in their funding," he says. Bill now relishes the opportunity to provide financially through HFM for others who serve overseas.

    Director of operations

    Wayne joined HFM as director of operations in January 2017. "I love the opportunity to dream big dreams about how God will use HFM in the future as we partner with churches, organizations and groups," he says. For the last 20 years, Wayne served in denominational leadership roles for the Wesleyan Church at its headquarters in Indiana. Previously, he was a youth pastor, senior pastor and staff pastor for 15 years.

    A co-founder of HFM in 2005 with her husband Bill, Daphne served as HFM's chief financial officer for its first decade and continues to provide financial and renovation counsel. "It's exciting to see how HFM has evolved from working with IWU students on local projects to an organization partnering with churches across the country, and even more exciting to be a conduit of the funds generated," she says.

    Co-Chief Financial officer

    Gary, who was seeking a means to use his skills in retirement to further the spread of the gospel, joined the HFM board in 2014 and has served as co-chief financial officer with his wife Kathy since 2015. A public school business manager for 41 years, Gary retired in 2015. He and Kathy serve at Lockwood Community Church as marriage mentors and members of the global missions team.

    While working on an HFM project, Kathy was impressed with the financial support HFM provides to missionaries. She joined the HFM board in 2014 and has served with her husband Gary as co-chief financial officer since 2015. A public school administrative assistant for more than 25 years, Kathy retired in 2015.  She serves with Gary as a marriage mentor and global missions team member at their church.

    "As a professional fundraiser, I know how difficult it is to raise funds, so I was eager to engage with this unique model for generating missionary support," Randy says. "I am blessed to lead a board whose members are committed to harmonizing their talents to serve God's kingdom." Randy is retired as executive director of Pine Rest Foundation and earlier was a psychologist for Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services.

    Darlene has been a professional in design and construction management for 16 years. "With a son who leads a fledgling missions organization, my husband Bob and I understand the need for new ways to raise missions support," she says. "After working with HFM on two successful projects, we welcomed the opportunity to serve in a new capacity as HFM board members."

    Bob joined the HFM board in 2007.  "I became involved with HFM because it creates a new revenue stream for missions support at a time when raising funds through the traditional donation channel is becoming increasingly difficult," he says. A public relations professional for more than 25 years, Bob retired in 2014. He is a deacon of Moody Church in Chicago.

    In 2005, Glen heard Bill Foster describe his dream for HFM. "I immediately was hooked," Glen says. "I was impressed how HFM would work with a local church to renovate a house, sell it and use the profits to support a missionary." Glen joined the HFM board as an original member in 2006. A registered architect for more than 25 years, he has designed and built projects throughout the world.

    A veteran of the construction industry, Bob currently works for Gilbane Building Company. He and his wife Darlene joined the HFM board in 2014 after leading two successful HFM renovation projects in New York State. "Working with HFM gave me an opportunity to use my skills to help advance the kingdom of God by raising support for missionaries, including our son Matt," he says.
